Microbiologist
TREK Diagnostic Systems, a leader in providing quality automated systems and disposable products for the Microbiology Community, is growing at its Sun Prairie, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. Because of this growth, TREK is seeking a Microbiologist to assist in the departments of process and product development, as well as research.
Job Description
- Perform laboratory tests and/or experiments following established procedures or protocols.
- Accurately perform, document, and report experiments in a timely manner.
- Assist in development and implementation of test methods under appropriate supervision.
- Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of project outlines and test timelines.
- Assist QA/RA with appropriate documentation and testing, if needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in lab environment.
Requirements
- BS in Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biology with 2 to 4 years' field experience working in a lab environment for a GMP/ISO facility.
- Previous project management experience as must be able to work independently on one or more project.
- Previous independent project work, including project design and experimental design.
- High level of knowledge of laboratory procedures, including safety protocols.
- Good understanding of GMPs and GLPs, as well as FDA and ISO regulations as TREK is highly regulated.
- Working knowledge of process development and scale up phenomena related to microbiological growth and end products.
- High level of computer literacy.
Must be detail oriented; Ability to wear appropriate PPE; Have visual acuity and ability to stand, walk, carry or sit for extended periods of time in lab and office environments; Ability to perform fine/gross manipulation of objects using fingers, wrists, arms, and shoulders during shift; Ability to work with lab media including chemicals, powders, water, etc. as needed; and must have high degree of self-motivation in performing lab tasks.Click here to apply for this position.
